OMG

If I wasn't busy enough, I have been working overtime this week...I feel like I'm going to pass out right now (and I should probably get to bed so I can go in to work tomorrow).  I don't know that I've ever had so much stinking work.  It's like all I do is work, work, work....but then MORE work comes in! Maybe one day I will see a clean queue, but this week is not it!  At least the overtime pay will rock when I get that check just before my child's birthday next month!

Little J continues to just say the wackiest and sometimes sweetest things.  One of his big ones is, "Hey Momma?" and then I say, "Yes, baby?"  (Because he says that it is okay when I call him baby, because he is my  baby!) And he responds, "I like you" or "I love you".  Awww....

Today he tells me, "I love you infinity!" and I said, "I love you infinity plus one" and he rolls his eyes and goes, "That does not even make sense, Mommy!" LOL

He also had some extremely sweet moments today and I think he has been missing his mommy this week with all the work and school that I have had going on!  As we were getting out of the car to go into the store, he says, "Mommy, I like you" and I was ready to respond with the usual "I like you too!" and then he goes, "You are my BEST friend!"  About made me cry right there in the parking lot! :o)  I know, I'm such a wimp!

Last thing....This may actually make you cry (just warning ya!)

When I take Little J through the McDonald's drive thru, I take my extra change out of my center console and put it in the deposit box on the side of the building that goes to the Ronald McDonald House here in Omaha.  Today he was telling me that I needed to put money in there, and he understands that the money goes to sick children, but he was asking me why they were sick.  I said that they just have germs in their body that sometimes they need to go to the doctor alot for.  He asked if they get really really sick like Marvin (our dog that passed away last year) did and if they go to heaven.  I said, "Yes, some of the kids get very sick and have to go live with God." And then (here it comes) he says, "I will never leave you Momma." I'm about to cry just typing it!  He amazes me every day with how smart and sweet and just plain adorably ornery he can be.

Ok, I'm done now.  Hope you enjoyed.  I am going to go pass out in my bed until about 5am or so, then get to work...And then come home and probably do some homework....And work on a diapercake that I am still not done with....lol

Busy Weekend

I have rewritten this blog about 4 times now...I feel like I have to make this interesting, but I know that it doesn't matter because people just want to know what is going on, basically.  You really wouldn't be reading this if you weren't interested, right?!?! lol

Little J has been cracking me up lately.  He said to me today, "Mommy, I just have to ask you one more thing before I go" (he was going to play outside).  And I said, "Okay, what's that?"  He says, "I like you!" I just shake my head, he says he "likes" or "loves" me multiple times per day and while I love it, it gets a little redundant.  Everyone always tells me to hang on to every moment, because it will soon be few and far between that I hear it! He is such a sweetie, though, so I don't think that will ever change.

Besides Little J being the light of my life, I have been feeling a little down lately.  Going to that wedding with my extended family, all the girl cousins and then my little sister being ridiculously beautiful and skinny, really got me down.  Do you ever have that time when you totally feel like the black sheep of your family?  I had that Friday night; apparently I got all the genes in the family that hold on to fat and don't let go!  I know that I have a hectic schedule and sometimes (most times) working out doesn't really fit into the day, but it's hard to remind myself that I really am NOT lazy, I am just busy as heck!

I feel like I accomplished quite a bit today, but writing it down it doesn't really sound like much.  Let's just say I have completed my economics paper (on time this time) that is due Thursday and have actually complete my written assignment for Conflict Resolution that is not due until a week from Monday!  I have also started on my paper and presentation for Finance, which is due a week from Wednesday, and have started preparing my papers for my English class that starts in Mid October!  Yay for not procrastinating!!!!  Other than that, it has been housework, working on a diapercake (yes, I am still doing that), wrapping one of Joshua's birthday presents, getting the goodie bags put together, and ordering Joshua's birthday cake online!  His birthday party is less than 3 weeks away, so all I have to do is pick up the cake, pick up balloons, and take him to the bowling alley!

Well, thanks for reading my random thoughts.  Hope you all had a good laugh!  As Little J would say, "See you later, crocodile!"  (We are still working on that one!)

Really?!?!

Was reminded today that lots of people could potentially read my blog, so I am going to try to avoid real names as much as possible, hence, my son will become Little J, and my husband will now be Big J.  And I will just be me! lol

Ugh...today we went shopping.  I know, most of you are going, "Why are you saying 'ugh'? You got to go shopping!"  I hate going shopping for clothes when I am looking for something specific.  I really hate shopping for clothes when I know that every other person there is going to be absolutely gorgeous and no matter what I wear, I will be the big, fat, black sheep.  So hence, the UGH.  My cousin is getting married on Friday evening, so I needed something to wear that was dressy and new.

Found the CUTEST little dress shirt and clip on tie set for Little J to wear, he is going to be so handsome! (Though he always is to me!)  Big J already has dress clothes that will suffice, so I had to find something.  I think what I found will be fine.  I am NOT wearing a skirt or dress, but I think I look kinda nice in my black dress pants, and I found a cute necklace and barrette for my hair (if I can figure out what to do with my hair!)

Short post tonight, as the weekend seemed way too short already!  I am going to "try" to head to bed early tonight.

Just another day...

I found myself woken up by a very quiet 4 year old voice this morning, "Mommy, the bunny waked up..." That is supposed to be my que to hop out of bed and be ready for the day, apparently. Since Little J is still a little young for time telling, I bought him a clock that I set and during "sleeping" hours, it lights up a picture of a bunny tucked into his bed sleeping. When it gets to be 7:45am (which is the longest he will sleep most weekends), the light then lights up a picture of a bunny walking to somewhere with a backpack on.  Hence, "the bunny waked up". Luckily today, the bunny worked.  Some mornings I hear, "the bunny will never wake up!" and it's only 6:50!  The joys of having a 3-4 year old!

On that note, I was making breakfast for him this morning (a waffle), and he is just jabbering away.  I am still in my, Goodness why am I up this early on a weekend state, and trying to pay attention to everything he is saying.  Then all of a sudden he stops, looks at me, and says, "I talk a lot, Mommy."  I wanted to say, "Yeah, no kidding!", but like a good mommy, I said, "sometimes..." lol

Today has already been a major cleaning day.  There is a Husker game today and we are having a couple friends over.  The boys were absolutely wonderful last night, as Little J cleaned up his playroom, and my husband actually vacuumed the whole house! Stairs included! (I HATE cleaning the stairs.) I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to having people over, I really want my house to appear nice and clean, even if it does not always appear that way (especially during the week).

Well, for now, that is all, I have to get ready to take Little J to HyVee.  We have some stuff to pick up for later today.  He surprises me every time, and is a WONDERFUL shopping companion!  I had a mom at the store the other day say to her little girl, "See, you wouldn't be able to push a little cart like that boy because you won't listen and stay where I tell you to!" LOL I have to admit, I chuckled lightly as we walked away.
