If I wasn't busy enough, I have been working overtime this week...I feel like I'm going to pass out right now (and I should probably get to bed so I can go in to work tomorrow). I don't know that I've ever had so much stinking work. It's like all I do is work, work, work....but then MORE work comes in! Maybe one day I will see a clean queue, but this week is not it! At least the overtime pay will rock when I get that check just before my child's birthday next month!
Little J continues to just say the wackiest and sometimes sweetest things. One of his big ones is, "Hey Momma?" and then I say, "Yes, baby?" (Because he says that it is okay when I call him baby, because he is my baby!) And he responds, "I like you" or "I love you". Awww....
Today he tells me, "I love you infinity!" and I said, "I love you infinity plus one" and he rolls his eyes and goes, "That does not even make sense, Mommy!" LOL
He also had some extremely sweet moments today and I think he has been missing his mommy this week with all the work and school that I have had going on! As we were getting out of the car to go into the store, he says, "Mommy, I like you" and I was ready to respond with the usual "I like you too!" and then he goes, "You are my BEST friend!" About made me cry right there in the parking lot! :o) I know, I'm such a wimp!
Last thing....This may actually make you cry (just warning ya!)
When I take Little J through the McDonald's drive thru, I take my extra change out of my center console and put it in the deposit box on the side of the building that goes to the Ronald McDonald House here in Omaha. Today he was telling me that I needed to put money in there, and he understands that the money goes to sick children, but he was asking me why they were sick. I said that they just have germs in their body that sometimes they need to go to the doctor alot for. He asked if they get really really sick like Marvin (our dog that passed away last year) did and if they go to heaven. I said, "Yes, some of the kids get very sick and have to go live with God." And then (here it comes) he says, "I will never leave you Momma." I'm about to cry just typing it! He amazes me every day with how smart and sweet and just plain adorably ornery he can be.
